Aroniabær bliver betegnet som superfood på grund af deres høje indhold af antioxidanter og vitaminer. Derudover er de rige på polyfenol, som bl.a. er med til at bekæmpe de skadelige frie radikaler, der opstår i kroppen, når vi spiser usundt, ryger eller er stressede.
Man kan spise Aronia friske, men de har dog en ret bitter smag. Når vi har plukket, renset og sorteret bærrene, fryser vi dem ned i portioner af 1kg.
